Venue Details
The Living Planet Symposium 2025 will be held at the Austria Center Vienna (ACV), located at Bruno-Kreisky-Platz 1, 1220 Vienna, Austria.
The ACV is a modern, spacious venue just outside Vienna’s city centre, fully equipped to host large-scale international events. It is easily accessible by public transport and offers excellent facilities for thousands of participants.

Venue Layout & Access
The Symposium will occupy multiple levels of the venue: Levels -2, 0, 1, and 2.
- Oral Sessions: Held across various rooms throughout the main building.
- Hall X5: Serves as the main entry point and will host:
- Registration
- Speaker Ready Area
- Poster Sessions
- Nexus Agora
Important Arrival Information:
- All participants must enter via Hall X5 to collect their event badge.
- Authors must upload presentation files in the Speaker Ready Area.
- Access to the main building is not permitted without a valid event badge.
- All presentations must be uploaded in advance to be included in the programme.
- Hall X4: Dedicated to the School Activities, which will welcome over 2,000 children for space-themed educational activities. Access is restricted to those directly involved in the education programme.
- Exhibition Areas:
- Level 0: ESA booth and institutional partners
- Level 1: Commercial exhibitors
Agoras – Spaces for Open Dialogue
Three Agora spaces will be located in:
- Nexus Agora in Hall X5
- ESA Agora on Level 0
- Frontiers Agora on Level 1, Gallery
Agoras are informal, open spaces inspired by the ancient Greek assembly, designed to foster interactive discussion, networking, and collaborative dialogue. They offer a relaxed setting for participants to engage directly with speakers and each other.
Each Agora will feature a dedicated daily programme with sessions lasting 45 minutes or 1 hour and 30 minutes, encouraging questions, debate, and shared learning.

Catering & Refreshments
A variety of catering options will be available to accommodate different schedules and preferences:
- Coffee stations will be available across all levels until mid-afternoon.
- Light snacks will be served during evening poster sessions.
- Catering points on Levels 0 and 1 will offer hot and cold meals and beverages.
- Lunch options will be available:
- Inside the venue at designated catering points
- Outdoors in a food court with a selection of food trucks
IMPORTANT NOTE: Water bottles will not be on sale. Participants are required to bring their own reusable water bottles. Water dispensers will be available in the venue in compliance with the event sustainability goals.
Accessibility
The Austria Center Vienna is fully accessible and designed to accommodate all participants:
- Wheelchair access is available on all levels.
- A dedicated, lowered registration desk will be provided.
- Seating arrangements in session rooms will be adapted to include space for wheelchair users.
- Opening and Plenary Sessions will include live captioning, accessible via QR codes displayed near room entrances.

Sustainability Initiatives
The Symposium is committed to environmentally responsible practices. To support this:

B2B Meeting Room Booking
Participants can book dedicated B2B meeting rooms, each accommodating up to 8 people in a boardroom setup. This is an ideal setting for professional networking and partnership discussions.
Note: Each participant may book only one meeting slot to ensure fair access.

Childcare Services
To support participating families, LPS 2025 offers childcare services for children aged 3 to 12.
To ensure availability, please indicate your childcare needs during registration. On the day of the event, parents/guardians will be asked to provide:
- Child’s full name
- Parent/guardian’s full name
- Contact phone number
- Permission for participation in any field trips
- Estimated pick-up time
The service ensures a safe, engaging environment so that attendees can fully participate in the event.

Prayer Room
A prayer and meditation room will be available to all participants, providing a quiet space for personal reflection. Clear signage will direct attendees, and staff will be available to assist with access if needed.
Breastfeeding Room
A dedicated breastfeeding room will be available, offering a private and comfortable space for breastfeeding, pumping, or spending time with an infant. The room will be equipped with seating, power outlets, and basic amenities. Please contact event staff if you need access.
